Geography 2050 (2021) GEOINT and Tearline: Opportunities for Open-Source Intelligence

Dr. Nathanael Bassett, Project Director at St. Louis' Technology Entrepreneur Center / T-REX created this video for release in conjunction with the American Geographical Society's 2023 Fall Symposium, Geography 2050: The Changing Map of Risk, Hazards, & Finance.

Tearline (Tearline.mil) is an award-winning open source intelligence (OSINT) and open GEOINT public platform that brings together researchers in the geospatial sciences and open data research communities with members of the intelligence community to produce public open-source reports on topics of mutual benefit. Tearline creates the opportunities for submitters to reach a wide audience, connect with fellow experts, and access valuable resources to further the public understanding on those topics. This brief presentation discusses content on the platform and the advantages Tearline offers for conducting and sharing research.
