FOSS4G Content
Editorial Independence & Content Requests
Project Geospatial provides independent, journalistic coverage of industry events, including FOSS4G North America. All archival content, including session recordings and stylized thumbnail artwork, remains the intellectual property of Project Geospatial. While we proudly provide these recordings to the community under a Creative Commons license, our network retains independent editorial control over our archives, maintained under standard nominative fair use for press and media. While we value our relationship with the event organizers, Project Geospatial operates independently; we do not answer to FOSS4G North America regarding our editorial decisions, nor are they responsible for the content we produce.
We do not alter our historical coverage to comply with third-party, retroactive organizational policies. However, we deeply respect the individuals who drive this industry forward. As a volunteer-driven organization, we occasionally make mistakes or get a bit too creative. Our intent is never to offend, but to promote creative mediums of expression to generate awareness of geospatial technology on behalf of the ecosystem. If you are a speaker and would prefer a standard photograph instead of a stylized caricature on your video's thumbnail, or if you need a correction to an in-video annotation (such as a name or title), we are happy to accommodate these requests as a professional courtesy on a case-by-case basis.
Speaker Content Request
By submitting this form, you acknowledge that you are the speaker featured in the requested content. Project Geospatial retains full editorial control over its network, but we will make every reasonable effort to honor individual requests regarding personal likeness.
